 Who are you?

I am Sibongile James born on 06 June 1972 at Walmer Township in Port Elizabeth. I am the second of three children, two girls and a boy. My parents originate from Cradock and that is where I started my primary education. Most of my holidays I  spend with my grandparents in Cradock. I’m an extrovert.

 What show do you host?

I host radio educational shows for three days in a week  20h30 -21h30 on Monday, Tuesday at 22h00. I also assist in hosting other shows whenever the need arise.  The one thing I want my listeners to walk away with from having spent time listening to me is to be mentally enriched and to be empowered for the future. This applies to both adults and the youth.

When and how did your career start?

My career started in 1999 presenting road shows nationally for Group Africa Marketing and Eyes and Ears Marketing. My initial job was that of being a composer on stage. The person who influenced  and had an impact in molding me to be the OAP that I am today is Mrs Zola Kaso-Majiza. My radio debut was at Umhlobo Wenene FM.

 What have you achieved thus far within your career? What are your career highlights?

So far within my career I have achieved fame and recognition, that I feel I am an asset to nation. Meeting and interviewing high profile prople from government and public especially in the education sector.  Prior UWFM, I got a certificate as the best team leader while working for Group Africa Marketing.

 Besides radio, what do you do?

Besides radio, I conduct motivational talks in schools, be master of ceremonies in events like graduation parties,  weddings and birthday parties.

My other traits are that of looking after the needy in the community, help with groceries and school  needs for the learners. 

 “If you do not succeed, do not give up…try again”.
