Let's connect:

Show(s): Zibuzwa Kuthi

Co-Host of Zibuzwa Kuthi

Molweni BaHlobo! I am Siphosethu Nonganga from Motherwell, Port Elizabeth in the Eastern Cape. I studied my primary school at eBhongweni Lower Primary and Enqileni Higher primary. I did my high school education at Masiphathisane Senior Secondary school, and it was during my high school years, where I displayed signs that I had a gift for public speaking through my active participation in drama activities of the school. In 2012 I enrolled for my journalism studies at NMMU four years after matriculating because of financial constraints, in 2015 I had to put my studies on hold after an opportunity to work for the SABC.

I keep Umhlobo Wenene FM listeners informed and engaged on two current affairs slots from Modays- Fridays. On Apha Naphaya which airs in the evening from 18h00 to 19h00  and  also on Zibuzwa Kuthi  during mid-day, as a co-host with Mafa Bavuma, between 12h00 until 13H00. Both shows are thought provoking, we open a platform of debates and conversations about issues that affect society at large, be it social, economic or political. We invite guest to tackle these issues. We report facts, dig dipper and let the listeners make their own mind.

My radio journey began in 2011 when I approached Emmanuel Haven FM, a community radio station, looking for my first job. I auditioned and got the opportunity to be the news anchor and I grabbed it. I was coached by one of my mentors, the legendary Fikile Lubisi, who was the station manager at the time.

My breakthrough on Umhlobo Wenene FM came in 2014, when a senior producer of Apha Naphaya, Patrick Dalindyebo heard my distinct and bold voice on one of the voice overs I had done, during my in - service training for the news division at the SABC. The opportunity to be a presenter with experienced and established journalists has fulfilled my ambitions to be on radio and has introduced me to the world of broadcast journalism. Both platforms have developed me as a presenter immensely. The positive feedback from the listeners is the encouraging factor and my source of inspiration and that is what keeps me going.

Besides Current Affairs, I am part of a radio drama production on uMhlobo Wenene FM, an award winning soapie called Ithini na Lento? Leyo yimfihlelo yobomi, playing a character of Akhona. I do voice overs and programme directing on events. I am fun; loving, hardworking, committed I could go on and on. My motto in life is “Be the change you want to see. (2)It always seems impossible until it is well done” by the late tata Madiba.
